You can buy the best case in the world, but if the foam protection isn't designed properly, your contents can be damaged.
Foam-Filled Cases: For most applications, items can be shipped with 2 inches of foam surrounding the item. Measure item(s) to be shipped then add 4" to the length, width and height. Allow 2" of foam between items. For very sensitive or fragile items, 3 to 4 inches of foam may be necessary. Canyonwest foam-filled cases are filled with layers of dense 2 lb. foam.
Foam-Lined Cases: Canyonwest foam-lined cases are lined with 2" of dense 2 lb. foam on all sides. Determine usable space by subtracting 4" from the case interior dimension. For example, a 20 x 20 x 20 inch foam-lined case would provide a protective space for a 16 x 16 x 16 inch item.
